Message	the money for it, don't do finance it. Take that money and invest it in something that builds capital. Cars in general are bad finance decision. A house is different story. I have over $150% equity in my house in just 6 years. Financing makes everything more expensive than the real price. Now if he took that $20k and bought another house as downpayment, then that would be smart.
